Why this matters more than it sounds

Most cross connection control programmes require test equipment to be calibrated at least every twelve months — the Capital Regional District says so at Bylaw 3516 s.26.5, Washington State at WAC 246-292-034(3)(b), and the rule is close to universal.

A report produced on a lapsed gauge can be rejected. Worse, it can be accepted and then questioned a year later, when the device it certified is the subject of a complaint and the calibration certificate is the first thing anyone asks for.

Calibration houses book up. Thirty days is enough notice to book; the morning of a job is not.

What we do with the address

We send you this reminder. That is the whole of it. Every email carries a link that deletes your entry outright — not a flag saying you opted out, because a list of people who opted out is still a list.
