How it works
- Photograph the completed report — the whole page, readable. More than one report in one email is fine.
- Email it to file@backflowfiled.com from the address you want the reply at. Say which authority, if the report doesn't.
- You get back the authority's own form filled from your readings, next to your photo so you can check every number, plus the owner's copy.
- Reply yes and it goes where that authority takes reports. Reply with a correction and it is fixed first. Nothing goes anywhere without your yes.
Where it goes, authority by authority
We have read the filing rules of 46 BC water authorities. 14 take reports by email, so we prepare the email to their intake address. 5 require a vendor portal (BSI, FAST), so we prepare the portal-ready PDF for you to upload with your own account — we never hold your portal login. 9 take reports by mail or at the counter, so we fill the form and address the envelope. 18 publish no intake address at all; we fill the form and you send it where you have been told. Each authority's page says which: all 46 authorities.
What it costs
The first five reports are free. No sign-up, no card, no call. After that it is C$7 a report, charged only for a report you approve. No subscription; nothing is ever charged for a report you did not approve.
What we do not do
We do not test, sign, or change a reading. The report is yours and your certification is on it; we copy what you wrote onto the form the authority asks for. Where a reading can't be read from the photo, we ask instead of guessing.
