Burnaby backflow test deadline
Within 10 days of the test, as the City's test report form instructs. That is the City of Burnaby's rule, quoted below from its own test report form. Put in your building and your date, and you get the day it is due.

This is the instruction printed on the authority's own form, not a bylaw section. We say which, because a reader weighs them differently.
Worth knowing: The largest authority in BC that takes reports directly from the tester. The department sends an automatic acknowledgement when an email arrives, and says it replies further only if there is a problem — so the acknowledgement is the receipt.
What happens next
- Check your date above. The answer appears on this page straight away: the day your report is due, or which date we still need.
- If you leave your email (and tick “I would like a quote” if you want a price), a person replies in writing, usually the same day. Nothing is charged and nobody calls.
- A certified tester tests every device on the notice, annually, on the anniversary of the last test.
- The report reaches the City of Burnaby inside the window. Reports go to crossconnectioncontrol@burnaby.ca. Keep the confirmation, not only your sent copy.
