Regional District of Nanaimo backflow test deadline
Within 30 days of the test. That is the Regional District of Nanaimo's rule, quoted below from its own bylaw. Put in your building and your date, and you get the day it is due.
The rule, in the Regional District of Nanaimo's words
“Every Consumer must ensure that within thirty (30) days of installation, repair, inspection, test, replacement or relocation of an Approved Backflow Prevention Assembly, a completed Backflow Assembly Test Report is provided to the RDN Manager of Water Services.”

Worth knowing: The 2023 Programme Guide gives rcu@rdn.bc.ca; the 2025 tester form gives waterops@rdn.bc.ca, which we use. The City of Nanaimo is a different authority.
What happens next

- If you leave your email (and tick “I would like a quote” if you want a price), a person replies in writing, usually the same day. Nothing is charged and nobody calls.
- A certified tester tests every device on the notice, upon installation, after repair and at least once every 12 months.
- The report reaches the Regional District of Nanaimo inside the window. Reports go to waterops@rdn.bc.ca. Keep the confirmation, not only your sent copy.
