My backflow test notice from City of Chilliwack: what do I do, and by when?
Get each device on the notice tested by a certified tester, and make sure the report reaches City of Chilliwack within 30 days of the day of the test. That is the whole duty, and it is the property owner's, not the plumber's.
The rule

Worth knowing: A copy of the tester’s certificate must travel with every filing.
What to do, in order
- Find the date that starts the clock: the day of the test. The clock does not start until the test is done.
- Book a certified backflow tester for every device listed on the notice.
- Make sure the tester's report reaches City of Chilliwack (operations@chilliwack.com) inside the window. Keep a copy.
