Hamilton backflow test deadline
Within 14 days of completing the test, with the fee. That is City of Hamilton's rule (Ontario), quoted below from its own documents. We do not file there; this is the rule, so you can date your buildings against it.

“within 14 days of completing a test of such device in accordance with paragraph 10.5.1: (a) a legible Test Report is provided to the City in respect of such test; and (b) the applicable fee is paid to the City;”

Where it goes: The original report is mailed or hand-delivered to the Backflow Prevention Program with the fee; the City's form says "DO NOT FAX".
How often: On installation, annually, on request, and after replacement, relocation or repair.
Worth knowing: The by-law PDF on hamilton.ca is the City's office consolidation, which it labels "not the official or legal version"; the web page and the form say the same 14 days. The fee is $75.25 per test.
What happens next
- Have each device tested by a tester certified where the building is, on installation, annually, on request, and after replacement, relocation or repair.
- Get the report to City of Hamilton inside the window — reports go by mail to City of Hamilton Backflow Prevention Program, 330 Wentworth Street North, Hamilton, ON L8L 5W2. Keep the confirmation.
