Winnipeg backflow test deadline
Received by the City within 14 days of the test. That is City of Winnipeg Water and Waste's rule (Manitoba), quoted below from its own documents. We do not file there; this is the rule, so you can date your buildings against it.

“(c) a test report concerning the test required by clause (b) is received by a designated employee within 14 days of the date the test was conducted.”

Where it goes: Email the fillable PDF test report to backflow@winnipeg.ca, or mail or fax it to the Backflow Prevention Office.
How often: On installation, repair, replacement or relocation, then within a year of the last test.
Worth knowing: It is a receipt deadline: the by-law counts to the report being received, not sent.
What happens next
- Have each device tested by a tester certified where the building is, on installation, repair, replacement or relocation, then within a year of the last test.
- Get the report to City of Winnipeg Water and Waste inside the window — reports go to backflow@winnipeg.ca. Keep the confirmation.
