My backflow test notice from City of Duncan: what do I do, and by when?
The rule
Within 30 days of the Director's request. In the City of Duncan's own words:
“The parcel owner must submit the results of all inspections and testing to the Director within 30 days of receiving a request to do so.”
Bylaw (Waterworks Regulation Bylaw No. 3213, 2020, s.5.1(d)) · read 26-Sep-2026
What to do, in order
- Find the date that starts the clock: the day of the test. The clock does not start until the test is done.
- Book a certified backflow tester for every device listed on the notice (on installation and annually, or more often as the Director requires).
- Make sure the tester's report reaches City of Duncan inside the window. The City of Duncan publishes no intake address we have been able to read; your tester or the notice will say where the report goes. Keep the confirmation, not only your sent copy.
