Record the test in the mechanical room, and keep recording it when the signal drops. The report, the tag and your customer's copy are ready to send before you reach the truck — on the CRD's own form — and the next test is dated the moment you finish.

How it works
Pick the device, enter the readings. Pass or fail is checked against the form's own thresholds as you type.
Complete the test. The purveyor's report renders field-for-field on the official layout, with the tag as a 4-up sheet.
Send it. One tap: the customer and you get the report and tag, with the PDF attached, and the record shows who it went to and when. The next test is already scheduled at 60, 30 and 7 days, with the overdue date on the job.

The clock is built in
The report has to be received by the CCC Officer within 35 days of the notice — testing early does not help if the filing is late, so the report is ready to send the moment you finish. 14 days for a failed device on the portal, 30 days to repair, retest and notify. Each deadline is on the job.
Where does it actually go?
We read the bylaw for 70 authorities and published one page each: the address reports go to, the deadline, the section number it comes from, and the date we last checked. Free, no account, and it says so plainly where an authority publishes nothing at all.
Never lose a day to a lapsed gauge
Tell us when your test kit was last calibrated and we will email you thirty days before it lapses. Free, no account, works wherever you test — and a lapsed gauge does not slow you down, it stops you working.
Anyone can check a report is real
Every report carries a code. Type it in and the page shows what is on the document — the site, the date, the result, and whether a newer version has superseded it. No login, no account. A property manager can confirm the test happened. So can an insurer. So can the authority.

Who you would be buying from
BackflowFiled is built and run by Filed, in Victoria, British Columbia. There is no sales department, and your records are stored in Canada and used only to provide the service.
We built it because the testing is the part you are trained for and the paperwork is where the time goes. The device takes twenty minutes; the form, the copy to the owner, the copy to the authority, the chasing and the filing take the rest of the afternoon, and none of it is the skilled work you are paid for.
The jurisdiction directory is free, it will stay free, and it is not a lead magnet. No email wall, no account, no “download the full list”. It is free because a tester in a town whose council publishes no intake address should still be able to find out what the bylaw requires, whether or not they ever buy anything from us. If you use it and never speak to us again, that is a fine outcome and the pages are built for it.
What we will not tell you. You will not find a customer count on this site, or a logo wall, or a figure about how many more tests a week somebody does. Not because we are being coy — because there is nothing there yet, and putting up a number we cannot stand behind would contradict the only thing we are actually selling.
And what happens to the authority's copy. It fills in the authority's own form, keeps the record, and sends the copies. We prepare the authority's copy, and the email or envelope for it, for you to send. Where an authority requires its own portal, we prepare the submission for your one tap. The page for each authority says which route it takes, rather than leaving you to discover it on a deadline.
The one piece of outside proof we do have is not a testimonial. It is water authorities confirming, in writing, that what we publish about their rules is correct — those are marked on the directory with the date they answered.

- Do I have to move my customer list?
- No. Add sites as you test them. Or send us a Syncta export or a spreadsheet and we load it for you.
- What does the first report cost?
- Nothing, and no card. After that you get 14 days of the full Firm plan, then pick the band that matches how many devices you look after.
- Do you file it to the authority, or do I?
- We prepare the authority's copy, and the email or envelope for it, for you to send. Where an authority requires its own portal, we prepare the submission for your one tap. Nothing goes to an authority without your yes. A failed device in the CRD is the portal case: Bylaw 3516 s.7.3 requires it to go through the CRD's CCC Portal within 14 days.

- The CRD's own form field for field; the generic BC layout for every email-intake authority; the rules for all 70. If yours is missing something, tell us which one — that is genuinely how the order gets decided.

- Is my logo on the report, or yours?
- On the Firm plan and above, yours: upload it in settings and it prints top-left on every report, and you can switch our name off entirely. On pay-per-report, the report carries a small "Prepared with BackflowFiled" line in the footer. We would rather you knew that now than found it on a report you had already sent.
- What happens to my records if I stop paying?
- You keep them. Cancelling does not lock you out of your own tests or the PDFs you have produced — every one of them stays downloadable. Keeping those records is a legal obligation you carry personally, so holding them would be indefensible.
