My backflow test notice from City of White Rock: what do I do, and by when?
The rule
Within 30 days of the test. In the City of White Rock's own words:
“The Customer must submit completed test report forms electronically to the City’s backflow program provider within thirty (30) days after the inspection is completed.”
Bylaw (Water Services Bylaw No. 2117, s.4.4) · read 26-Sep-2026
Worth knowing: Both a BSI registration and a White Rock business licence are required. The per-report fee is set in Fees and Charges Bylaw 2514, which we could not retrieve; the form the City links prints no fee.
What to do, in order
- Find the date that starts the clock: the day of the test. The clock does not start until the test is done.
- Book a certified backflow tester for every device listed on the notice (annually).
- Make sure the tester's report reaches City of White Rock inside the window. The City of White Rock takes reports only through BSI Online. Keep the confirmation, not only your sent copy.
